OBJECTIVES:

Meaningful Engagement & Partnerships

  • Organize monthly calls
  • Share youth and gender opportunities
  • Represent youth at global policy forums
  • Enhance partnership with gender-and-land-focused organizations

Knowledge Sharing & Capacity Building

  • Hold capacity-building workshops on gender equality and land rights advocacy skills
  • Create case studies and practical toolkits on mainstreaming gender in land restoration and governance initiatives

Policy Advocacy

  • Co-create a manifesto to share key messages on gender and land
  • Raise awareness on the role of gender in land management, drought and related issues and advocate for gender transformative approaches

WHO CAN JOIN?

Genuine interest in advocating for gender equality as a driver of sustainable, progressive, and meaningful action to avoid, reduce, and reverse land degradation.

Willingness to commit time and energy to actively participate in the Working Group’s activities and collaborations.

Be between 18 and 35 years of age.
