THEMATIC WORKING GROUP
SUSTAINABLE LAND MANAGEMENT AND RESTORATION
Objectives:

Youth Mobilization & Policy Advocacy
• Foster meaningful youth participation in decision-making, policy processes, dialogues, and action on SLM and restoration
• Policy papers and youth position papers on SLM and restoration

Capacity Building & Knowledge Co-creation
• Host capacity-building webinars on identified priorities
• Support national youth leads and roll calls to strengthen local leadership, advocacy capacity, and peer exchange
• Create and launch a toolkit for youth advocacy on land and soil

Storytelling & Visibility
• Co-host side events in key policy spaces
• Showcase youth-led initiatives in SLM and restoration
• Launch youth-driven campaigns on SLM and restoration and related issues
Who can join?
Any members interested in SLM and restoration, eager to learn, share, and collaborate with fellow members, and between 18 and 35 years of age.

The co-leads mandate is to facilitate group activities. Any member can suggest other activities outside of the established Work Plan. All members are equal and encouraged to participate in all discussions and activities.
